My 10 Best Amazon Home Finds

Just like everyone else I do a lot of shopping on Amazon. It’s just so easy. I can grab my phone and add items I need to my cart while I’m away from home or in my bed before I go to sleep.

Lately, I’ve been searching for and buying things for my home to help me better organize and maintain my home, or to replace things that have broken.

Here are all of the best and most used home-related items I’ve found on Amazon.

Sprayway Foaming Glass Cleaner

This is a product my dad brought to my attention. He had started using it and said I should give it a try as well. I’m glad I did because it’s the best glass cleaner I’ve used.

Instead of liquid glass cleaner that cleans weakly and drips all over the place. This one foams so it doesn’t drip and it’s pretty powerful. The first time I used it I put too much on the glass and it took a while to wipe the glass dry.

The Sprayway glass cleaner also leaves my mirrors and windows streak-free. Especially when paired with a microfiber cloth. I plan to buy this glass cleaner over and over again.

Tineco Mop Vac

If this hadn’t been on sale, I wouldn’t have bought it. I’d been seeing more and more people switching from the traditional mop and bucket to clean their hard floors, or a Swiffer mop to using a mop vac which is a combination of a mop and a vacuum. So you can suck up dirt and debris from your hard floors while also mopping them clean.

I had my eye on them because they seemed to make mopping so much easier and I really hate the traditional process of mopping floors. I got the Tineco iFLOOR 3 Breeze Complete and I’ve been using it to clean my floors multiple times a week. Before I was probably mopping once a month if I was disciplined.

I love that this is cordless, pretty lightweight, and self-propelled. Plus, it self cleans so all I have to do is dump out the dirty water and let it sit till I’m ready to use it again.

If the iFLOOR 3 Breeze Complete isn’t up your alley, there are other Tineco models you can check out that have even more features.

StorMiracle Foldable Storage Organizers

I bought these storage organizers after I got fed up with how unorganized some of my dresser drawers looked. I was having a hard time keeping things neat, tidy, and folded. Plus, it was getting hard to find what I was looking for.

What drew me to the StorMiracle Storage Organizers is they can be used in drawers or the closet. I’m using them in my drawers to store my bras, socks, and underwear. They were easy to set up because they are foldable and I could just pop them open.

When purchasing I had a few options to choose from. Did I want the beige/dark gray, dark gray, or light gray option? Plus, did I want the four, six, or eight-pack? I picked the beige/dark gray four-pack. I wish I’d gotten the six or eight-pack as some of my other drawers could use these.

Watch me set up these storage organizers.

Amazon Basics Slim Clothes Hangers

I did not realize how much space clothes hangers could take up in my closet until I switched to these slim hangers. I gained so much more space in my closet that it wasn’t funny. Plus, my closet looked more sophisticated.

If you haven’t started using slim hangers you are missing out. You can get them in plastic or velvet lined like the ones I got from Amazon. The velvet helps keep clothes from sliding off which is helpful when I’m moving clothes around in my closet.

These particular hangers come in a variety of neutral colors. I got the ivory/silver combo where the hanger is ivory and the hook is silver. You can select from navy, gray, and black each with a rose gold or silver hoot option.

Each hanger is supposed to hold up to 10 pounds. I use them for not just shirts, pants, and dresses, but also for my winter coats and light jackets.

OXO Good Grips 2-in-1 Sink Strainer Stopper

I have a lot of hair on my head so I tend to shed quite a bit. Especially in the shower when I’m washing my relaxed hair. For years this caused clogs in my shower drain that were a pain and kinda gross to clean out. After a while, I got tired of it and tried some hair catchers in my shower.

None of those worked well. Hair would still get the drain or they wouldn’t cover the drain properly. Randomly I came across this shower drain protector from OXO and decided to give it a try because it looked nice and was engineered differently than the other shower drains I’d tried out.

I’m glad I did because it looks great in my shower and it’s not obvious that it didn’t come with the shower. This seems to be a trend for OXO products. I don’t trip over it in the shower and it does a good job of catching hair when I wash my hair.

To clean it out I wait till the hair has dried and then just dump it into a trashcan or take some tissue paper or a paper towel to wipe it up. It’s easy to clean. I just need a wet cloth or sponge to wipe it down.

Pipishell Bamboo Expandable Drawer Organizer

I had another bamboo drawer organizer that this one replaced and it was not sturdy at all. It started to break apart after a couple of months. This one hasn’t. If it had, it wouldn’t be on this list.

What initially drew me to this drawer organizer is that it expands. In this kitchen, I have regular-sized drawers. In my last kitchen, I had some pretty wide drawers, and normal-sized organizers would move around and not stay in place because they didn’t take up much of the drawer space.

Standing Folding Desk

A few years ago I bought a treadmill so I could take walks when it was too cold or hot outside or when it was raining. To maximize my treadmill time I also got a standing desk.

The one I got has a slim, modern design. It’s the perfect height for me to work on my computer while walking on my treadmill. Plus, it also folds up and can be tucked away behind furniture or in a closet. It’s really easy to fold and unfold which I share in this video.

3 Pack Garden Pruning Shears Set with Gardening Gloves

I like to garden. I have a couple of flowerbeds and three raised vegetable beds that I maintain. Part of that maintenance is pruning and cutting back plants. I had a pair of rusty garden shears that I’d had for years and was starting to get dull. This pruning shears set seemed like the perfect replacement.

It’s a set of three - straight blade, serrated blade, and curved blade - which is helpful as there are different types of plants I’m working on.

The blades are supposed to be rust proof and I believe that because I left one of the shears out in my yard for months (ok I lost it in the yard). It was out there in all kinds of weather including rain and the blade was not rusty.

The handles are made to be slip-proof, which has worked for me. Each shear has an easy-to-use safety lock that keeps the blades closed when not in use. As a plus, it came with a pair of gardening gloves. The ones I got aren’t that thick but are nice to wear when carrying a lot of brush and bush clippings.

Surge Protector Power Strip Set

This isn’t just any two-pack set of surge protectors. You can pick and choose certain features so it works best for your needs. You can choose how long you’d like the extension card to be and if you want only USB A plugs or a mix of USB A and USB C plugs.

The set I got has a 10-foot-long extension cord so the surge protectors can stretch pretty far which is great because I have a few outlets far away from the items I need to plug in. Each surge protector has three USB A ports and a flat plug.

I’ve been using these surge protectors for several years, one behind my TV unit and the other behind a daybed in my office. With the flat plug I can use this behind furniture and the furniture can sit closer to the wall.
