1. Receipt Hog
This is an app where you upload receipts from your shopping trips to earn coins that you can redeem for an Amazon gift card. It’s really simple to use. I like to take some time at the end of the week to snap all of the receipts I've saved over the last 6 days.Other ways to earn coins and get your gift card sooner are taking surveys and playing the Hog slot game (you’ll have to sign up to find out how it works).
If you don’t shop a lot it can take a while to earn enough for a payout. One way to speed that up is to ask friends and families for their receipts so you can upload them along with yours.

2. Drop
I love it when apps make it easy to earn rewards by linking the card you use. Drop is one of those apps.All you have to do is shop with your linked card at online and physical stores. You can check in the app to see which stores have points attached to them. The app tracks your purchases that way and gives you reward points.
You can also earn points by doing surveys and playing games. Once you have racked up enough points you can redeem them for Amazon gift cards. I will caution, gift cards are limited and are only available once a week at a specific time. If you miss that time date and time you’ll have to wait till the specific time in the next week.

3. Upside
This app is really cool because you earn cash back on gas, grocery stores, and restaurants near you. You get your cash back automatically by linking your card to the app.Most of the cash back I’ve earned has been via gas purchases and a few restaurants. Most other apps focus on grocery shopping so having the Upside app diversifies your cash back options.
Another thing I like about Upside is that you earn "real" cash back vs points or rewards that you have to cash in like other apps. So there is a 1:1 value that you don’t get through some of the other apps.

4. Fetch
You can use Fetch to earn points on receipts from your grocery shopping tips, eating out, and other types of stores. All you have to do is scan the receipt to get your points which can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards.Other ways to earn points are to connect your email so it can scan for e-receipts and redeem the special offers in the app that can earn you hundreds or thousands of points at once.

5. Shopkick
This is an app I’ve been using off and on for years. It’s great if you do a lot if in-store shopping. The reason is that Shopkick lets you earn Kicks (their version of rewards points) for doing things like visiting stores, scanning products in-store, and purchasing products. There are also a few opportunities to earn points for watching videos in the app. When you rack up enough points you can redeem them for an Amazon gift card.I like how easy it is to use the app. All I have to do is open the app when I’m in a shopping center and it will show me nearby stores where I can earn points or Kicks. The app also shows all the ways I can earn points at each retailer.

Tips
Most of these apps will only earn you gift cards with small amounts if you redeem as soon as you hit the redemption minimum. Most of the time I get gift cards in $5, $10, and if I hold out $20 increments.One way to make these gift cards work hardest for you when shopping on Amazon is to get Visa gift cards and use them to reload one Amazon gift card you have and use whenever you make a purchase. You can do this by following these steps:
- Log into your Amazon account
- Go to your payment options in your Wallet
- Select an existing gift card
- Click Reload Your Balance
- Choose or enter the amount you want to add to the gift card
- Select a payment method which will be the gift card you earned
- Select Reload and wait for the transaction to occur
