My 10 Best Amazon Travel Finds

While I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like to, I like to travel. I like seeing different places, experiencing different cultures, and seeing how people around the world live.

When I started traveling more, especially overseas I realized that I needed better luggage and tools for packing. After several years I’ve found x products on Amazon that are my best travel finds. All of these products have either made traveling more organized and efficient for me.

Coolife luggage set

At a minimum when you travel having some good luggage is helpful to carry all of your items. I think so at least which is why I recently bought this three-piece hard case luggage set.

What drew me to this brand was the large number of influencers I follow who use and talk about it a lot. I was skeptical about a hard set of luggage as I’ve been a soft luggage girl for years.

But I loved the price, that this Coolife luggage set is lightweight, and the multiple color options available. I got the apple green set because it matched my previous set of luggage. I’ve yet to use this Coolife luggage set for a trip, but I will report back when I do.

Bagsmart toiletry bag

This is a recent influenced buy for me. I needed a new toiletry bag that I could hang up and this one looked perfect.

It comes in two sizes - medium and large. I got the large case which fits easily in my large suitcase and carry-on. There are also several different colors to pick from. I chose Navy since it’s neutral and wouldn’t show dirt easily.

This Bagsmart toiletry bag has four different compartments to hold toiletries. Two small compartments at the ends, one has a hook so you can hang the bag. Two larger compartments that have elastic straps that can hold makeup brushes or small bottles in place.

All of the compartments have a see-through cover so you can see what’s in there. I like that because I can easily find items in each compartment.

Toiletry container covers

After having a mess of spilled shampoo and lotion in my suitcase a couple of times I came up with a way to keep liquid and creams from leaking from the tops and lids of my toiletry covers. That was duck tape.

Little did I know someone had come up with a better idea. That idea was silicone toiletry container covers. They are perfect for covering the tops of my travel toiletries because they are made of highly elastic silicone that tightly wraps around the containers.

I’ve used these toiletry container covers a few times. Once for domestic travel, and the other for international travel. For one of the trips I discovered I hadn’t completely tightened one of my travel containers and some of the product leaked out. No worries though because the silicone cover kept it from leaking out into my bag.

I also like the LeakLocks® Toiletry Skins™. They are very elastic but still fit tightly around the container. I can use them on tall bottles or short round containers. They are easy to put on and take off.

Samsonite Spinner Bag

Yes, more luggage. I don’t use this bag often because it’s pretty small and more like an overnight, meaning a one-night bag. I like to use it when I go on international trips as my carry-on.

I always check a bag when I travel internationally but I make sure I also take a carry-on so I still have some clothing and personal items with me in case my checked bag gets lost.

This Samsonite bag fits perfectly under the seat or in the overhead bin. It’s small enough that even when the overhead bin is too small for a regular-sized carry-on bag, it still fits. But it’s large enough that I can pack a few day's worth of clothing, medication, a pair of shoes, and a few other items.

Travel folding hangers

Hotel and cruise ship closets never seem to have enough hangers. Even when I visit family and friends and stay at their house there’s usually only one or fewer empty hangers in the closet.

To make sure I can hang up my clothes if I so desire I got this 12-piece travel hanger set. The hangers are lightweight, slim, and foldable making them easy to store and pack in my suitcase.

Each hanger can hold up to 10 pounds so I can hang shirts, dresses, and even jackets. And with their slip-proof design, my clothes aren’t falling off.

The great thing about these folding hangers is they can be used for the whole family. Depending on how far they’re unfolded the hangers can be used for children or adult clothing.

Laundry bag

When I travel, I like to have a specific place to put my dirty clothes, just like I do at home. Instead of a hamper, I use a laundry bag. I know some people who use plastic bags or trash bags, but I prefer to use something specifically made for laundry.

The laundry bag came in a set so there are two of them. It’s made of polyester tear-resistant material. To me the bags are large. They fold down nicely when empty and fit more than a week's worth of dirty clothes. I haven’t yet come back from a trip with a full bag.

Travelon anti-theft slim crossbody bag

When traveling I prefer to use a crossbody bag versus a backpack because I can keep the bag in the front of my body making me less susceptible to being pickpocketed.

What makes it even harder is the Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Slim Double Zip Crossbody bag. It has multiple compartments, most of them having zippers. The zippers have locks so I can make it difficult to unzip the bag quickly.

This crossbody purse is slim and lightweight but it fits a lot. I can fit a slim wallet, phone, cosmetic bag, a small bottle of water, and other needed items in it.

Packing cube set

To maximize space in my suitcase when I travel I use packing cubes. Now these are small mesh containers that help to slightly compress the items so you have more space in your suitcase.

The set I’ve used for several years has one large cube, two medium, and two small cubes. I like to use the small and medium ones when I pack clothes in my backpack or carry-on bag. The large cube is perfect for things like jackets, sweaters, dresses, and pants.

The packing cubes work great for short overnight trips and weeklong trips overseas. Packing cubes can easily be stacked in my carry-on and checked bag leaving room for other items.

Philips One by Sonicare Battery Toothbrush

I use a battery-powered toothbrush at home and love how clean it makes my teeth feel. I had always wanted to take it with me when I traveled but it's a little bulky with the charger station so I gave up that idea.

One day I was browsing Amazon and stumbled upon the Philips One by Sonicare Battery Toothbrush. It's a battery toothbrush that is created specifically for travel. It's slim and doesn't have a charging station since it runs off a AAA battery. This toothbrush also has a travel case.

I love the fun colors it comes in, despite the fact that I got it in the safe Navy color.

Luggage scale

Until I got a luggage scale, packing my checked luggage was always a guessing game. I would pack my bag and just hope I wasn't over the 50 lb limit. I would sometimes try to use my body scale but that never accurately weighed my suitcase.

Now I have a luggage scale that is pretty close to accurate. Usually, it's right on the money. Sometimes it's off but a pound or two either way.

The scale is light enough that I will pack it in my back so I can weigh it before I come back and make sure I didn't go over the limit with my souvenirs.
