Trash Talk: End Of Summer 2024 Beauty Empties

I can’t believe that summer is over. I prefer the warm weather and longer days of summer. I start to feel like hibernating when the weather gets cooler and the days shorter.

Another thing that is over is these beauty products I have been using for the last few months.

Equate Beauty Foaming Facial Cleanser

This is Walmart’s version of the CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser. It’s made for normal to oily skin but it didn’t dry out my face.

It claims to

• Be dermatologically tested
• Help replenish and protect skin moisture barrier
• Be non-drying and non-irritating
• Have ceramides, niacinamide, and sodium hyaluronate

I would use this facial cleanser again. It's my alternative if I need to buy more facial cleanser and Cetaphil isn't on sale.

Beloved Cherry Blossom & Tea Rose Body Mist 

Instead of having a perfume that I like and can afford, I’ve been using body mists. The best ones I’ve found are from the brand Beloved. I liked the Lavender and Chamomile Tea Body Mist and decided to dry another scent. This one stood out to me.

I’ve enjoyed the scent because it lingers longer than the Lavender and Chamomile Tea one. It’s sweet but not overly sweet. Another plus for it is it’s alcohol-free.

In addition to providing a scent, the body mist claims to hydrate and leave the skin feeling instantly refreshed lightly.

I would buy this body mist again and may do that on my next trip to Target.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I’ve been using this facial serum for a while because I like how my skin looks and feels when I use it consistently.

This serum claims to

• Help to reduce the signs of congestion and visible sebum activity
• Aid in the appearance of textural irregularities
• Have a balancing PH of 5.50 - 6.50

Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel Facial Toner 

Since I got turned onto Thayer’s toners I’ve tried several different ones. This time I tried the cucumber one.

What made me decide to give it a try is it claims to

• Helps to reduce visible pores
• Remove impurities
• Smooth texture and even skin tone
• Immediately hydrate and maintain skin’s moisture barrier
• Balance, visibly tighten pores, and soothe skin

Like the other Thayer’s toners I’ve used I’ve noticed improvements in my skin tone and texture, so I would use this again.

Maybelline Matte & Powerless Powder Foundation

I had finished another compact of this powder foundation earlier in the summer. I get it in the shade Java and use it as a setting powder or even sometimes by itself.

I shared more about why I like this Maybelline powder in this past post. I plan to continue to use it.
