Trash Talk: Hair Products Used Up Summer 2024

Let’s dive deep into my latest batch of hair product empties. These are the shampoos, conditioners, and serums I’ve been using on my relaxed hair over the last few months.

I have done my best to meticulously scrape out every last drop so now I’m ready to share my quick thoughts on whether these products are worth a repurchase for me.

TGIN Miracle RepaiRx Deep Hydrating Hair Mask

I love TGIN hair products, if you’ve followed me you may have seen that. Out of the multiple hair masks that TGIN has this is the one that rose to the top.

The TGIN Miracle RepaiRx Deep Hydrating Hair Mask is my favorite because
  • It’s thick and creamy
  • It hydrates my hair well
  • It has some slip and I can easily detangle my hair if needed
  • It smells good
  • A little bit goes a long way

I will be buying this hair mask again as it’s one of my favorites and I like how my hair feels after using it.

ORS Olive Oil Moisture Restore Creamy Aloe Shampoo

I use this ORS shampoo to clarify my hair when it needs it. I’ve been using it over the last few years because
  • It easily works into a good lather
  • It doesn’t irritate my scalp
  • My hair doesn’t feel stripped of moisture

Unless I find another clarifying shampoo that does a better job than this one in deep cleaning my hair without drying it out I plan to continue using the ORS Olive Oil Moisture Restore Creamy Aloe Shampoo.

Mielle Mongonogo Oil Thermal & Heat Protectant Spray

I never thought a heat protectant spray could impact how my hair dries. This one helps my hair dry quicker without drying it out. Once my hair is dry it typically looks and feels smoother, and it doesn’t typically frizz up throughout the week.

The Mielle Mongonogo Oil Thermal & Heat Protectant Spray is another product I plan to purchase again and keep using for the foreseeable future.

Herbal Essences Rose Hips Conditioner

I bought a travel size of this rinse-out conditioner to give a try as a pre-poo conditioner. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. It’s not bad just not amazing. My hair didn’t feel any different after my pre-poo than it has with other conditioners I’ve used.

I won’t say I wouldn’t buy this again but as of right now, I have no plans to.

Mielle White Peony Leave-in Conditioner

This is a lightweight liquid leave-in conditioner that I like to use this leave-in conditioner on my wet hair before drying it with a roller set or blow dry.

It has a nice smell, it doesn’t weigh down my hair, and this leave-in conditioner helps to smooth out my hair and add shine.

I do plan to purchase this Mielle leave-in conditioner again. Most likely during a good Mielle sale like I did this one I recently used up.
