I’ve shared why I like this shampoo in round-up videos, round-up blog posts, and even in my Instagram feed but I’ve never gotten really detailed in why I like this shampoo, use it on my hair, and recommend it.

I came across TGIN Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo when I was going through protein overload. I had heard about TGIN a while before and was actually using the Green Tea Super Moist Leave In Conditioner. I needed a protein-free shampoo and the Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo has no protein so I bought it and hoped my hair would like it.
Well, I didn’t need to worry, my hair loved the shampoo! This was probably because it lived up to its claims:
- Cleans hair, gently and effectively
- Does not contain harsh detergents that strip the hair of its natural oils
- Smoothes the cuticle surface
- Leaves hair feeling soft and smooth
- Infused with Pro Vitamin B5 for reduced breakage and increased moisture
Now I pretty much use the TGIN Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo every single time I wash my hair at home. It’s one of my go-to shampoos because it does a really good job of cleaning my hair but not leaving it feeling dry or stripped of moisture. It actually feels like the shampoo is adding moisture back to my hair.
I call the TGIN Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo my second lather shampoo. When I wash my hair I lather twice. The first lather is usually a sulfate, clarifying, or strengthening shampoo. My second lather is the TGIN Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo because of how moisturizing it is.

Here’s some additional info about the TGIN Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo
- It’s easy to buy since it’s sold in multiple places - TGIN’s site, Ulta, Target, Amazon, Sally Beauty, and several other stores
- It seems to be on sale every month so you can cost-effectively stock up
- I’ve found that I can shampoo my hair with it 2 or 3 times and my hair doesn’t feel stripped of all moisture
- This is one of the best lathering shampoos I’ve used in a while. It’s really easy to work it into a lather
I will admit that I’ve found that when I have a lot of build-up on my hair from products, dirt, or oil it doesn’t get my hair as clean as I would like. That’s why I tend to pair it with a sulfate shampoo. That doesn’t bother me though as I’ve found this to be the case for the majority of the sulfate-free shampoos I’ve used.
