Pre-pooed
I sectioned my hair off into five sections applied an oil mix of sunflower and coconut oil, finger detangled, put on a plastic cap, and sat under my hooded dryer for 15 minutes.Next, I applied a keratin conditioner on top of the heated oil, put my plastic cap back on, and sat under the dryer again for another 15 minutes.
Co-washed
For my co-wash this week I used Thermafuse HeatSmart Serum Condition. I then followed up my co-wash with a green tea rinse.Deep conditioned
I did mix up this step a bit. After the green tea rinse, I applied a conditioner mix of Eden BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner, Suave Natural Infusions Anti-Breakage Conditioner, and L'Oreal Ceramide Total Repair 5 Restoring Conditioner. To get good penetration of the conditioner, I opted to steam. I did this, by wetting a towel and wrapping it around my hair. Then I put on a plastic cap and sat under my hooded dryer for 20 minutes. After my hair cooled for 10 minutes, I rinsed my hair with cool water and did my hair feel soft, strong, and won-der-ful.Leave in and sealant
I t-shirt dried, applied Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Leave-in Conditioner that I mixed with a little sunflower oil, and got out any leftover tangles with my fingers.Dried
I finished drying under my hooded drier with my new growth stretched. After my hair cooled for a few minutes, I put my hair up in a messy bun.

I agree! Love that shine!
DeleteYes, that is a great idea for a steam treatment! Something I have been wanting forever.
ReplyDeleteYour messy bun is pretty!
Thanks Tonya. My stylist has a steamer and my hair always feels great after she uses it on my hair. So I've wanted to do them at home, but don't have the money for a steamer. I did some searches online and found a few people who used this method and raved about it.
DeleteAs mentioned....that shine is everything!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I didn't realize how much shine I had till I was looking at the picture. I only hope I can replicate that!
