Wash Day: 4 1/2 Weeks Post 4/19 Relaxer Touch Up

I've been having issues with my new growth feeling dry a few days after my wash. So I wanted to focus on moisture in that particular area. Also when I was writing my regimen update post I realized I have a lot of products that I don't use regularly and need to use up. That being said, I used some of those products this wash day.

I detangled with organic virgin coconut oil and water mix, my fingers, and seamless comb.

I then braided my hair into four braids. I've found that working on my hair in sections helps make the task easier. Working in sections also helps me make sure I evenly apply the product throughout my hair.

Pre-pooed with Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner on my braids for about 30 minutes.

Rinsed my hair in warm water and cleansed my scalp with an awapuhi ginger shampoo in an applicator bottle.

Deep conditioned with Eden BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner with a shower cap and heat for about 30 minutes and no heat for another 40 minutes.

I t-shirt dried for 30 minutes.

Detangled with Pantene Pro-V Moisture Mist detangler and my fingers. I didn't use the Pantene detangler last wash and I think my hair missed it because I had to do more daily moisturizing than normal.

Applied my leave-in of Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner and sealed with an argan oil serum which I finished this wash.

Finished drying under my hooded dryer on low heat for an hour and a half.

The result: No major shedding or breakage. In fact, I had less than my last wash! I think doing larger braids and better detangling before my wash might have been the reason why. My hair felt soft and strong. I'll be bunning it for a while as the weather is getting very warm.

What did you focus on during your most recent wash day?
